How did I get here?

My proofreading has evolved out of years of project work, mostly for online content. I began 20 years ago, working on training content for the NHS, the The Home Office, British Airways and others.

I then moved to the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in Kings College London. In a small team of people, I checked and proofread through content that had been written by nursing staff, that was destined to be training material for nurses in Devon and Cornwall.

From there, In 2015 I joined a digital start up company, which was one of several start-ups that were trying to make a go of what was then called 'adaptive learning' . I worked directly with clients, 1-2-1. These were professors, at Arizona State University; staff at the US Golf Association; Staff at Western Sydney University in Australia and many others.

.

Before anything got released it was always my job to give a full QA to all finished content to make sure it worked on the platform and that there were no errors in the content, such as typos, errors in grammar and so on.
